AURA Digital (originally called On Fleek Marketing) was launched back in 2021 as a result of hair and beauty appointments frequently turning into marketing consultancy... I’d be sat in the salon or beauty chair for hours, answering questions on everything, from improving their social media to ranking higher in Google.

Every small business owner told me the same story:

They know how important marketing is for their business, but don't have the expertise or time to do it or learn it - not only due to their client workloads, but often judging the business with being a busy mum too.

They may have tried advertising with little success, or worked with various freelancers and couldn’t tell me what results they were getting. They were never satisfied with the service, and got very little back in return for their spend.

But the problem was bigger than I thought.

When I started to take on clients and saw previous marketing campaigns set up by other ‘PMU marketing agencies’, I was shocked. They had not been set up correctly, wasting hundreds or thousands of pounds on ad spend - one campaign I looked at had been targeting London USA, when the client is based in Bristol UK. They were never going to get a customer willing to travel that distance!

These campaigns were set up by a self-proclaimed “PMU marketing expert” who had spotted a gap in the market - he was a good salesman, but not a marketing expert.

This is why AURA Digital Studio was started.
